OHDEERME March Kit Projects

Happy Wednesday crafty friends!

Here are my projects using the March OHDEERME Kit...

This month's kit is "Snow Much Fun", lol! You'll love the bright colors and the "spring-inspired" embellishments in the kit.  So if you're still scrapping your winter activities or looking ahead to warmer and brighter days, this kit it perfect for both!

I also used many items in the March kit for my Project Life spread for Weeks 5 & 6...

Weeks 3 & 4 *Hip Kit Club*

Happy Tuesday!

I'm sharing my Project Life spread for Weeks 3 & 4 on the Hip Kit Club blog today using the February 2015 kits.

Left Side:

I love taking my leftover kit pieces and using them for my PL pages.  The random bits always work so well for my PL embellishments.

Right Side:

I'm including two weeks per spread this year for my PL.  I don't take as many photos as I used to and I don't have as much time to invest in putting my spreads together so this set up seems to be working well for me so far.

I used lots of pieces from the February 2015 Embellishment Kit. The 6x6 paper pad is perfect for making filler cards!

How are you tackling your Project Life spreads this year?  Be sure and stop by Hip Kit Club and check out their new Project Life kits!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Here's a look at my completed Crate Life spread for Week 27...

I hope you stop by the CP blog to see my full post for more details and photos.  Have a great day and a fabulous weekend!

Project Life - Week 20

Happy Monday!

Week 20 is in the books and I am now scrapping from my kitchen table and counter :0)

Week 20 was filled with end-of-school parties, field days, and activities...times 3!  And painting...lots and lots of painting...

I spent most of every waking moment moving furniture, cleaning, organizing, and re-organizing our entire basement because the painters came this week.  It was quite a circus and I was pretty much on my own because my hubby finally got a chance to get some farming done.

Left Side:

As of Friday, all of my kiddos were officially out of school for summer break!  Here we go!!!

That "Big Mess" in the upper left hand corner is what I have left to clean and put away in my basement.  Plus, I have to move my craft room upstairs because my oldest son is moving into it, crazy isn't even the word for it!  It'll all be worth it though...I hope!

The shed progress is still coming about slowly.  We did get concrete poured inside, but we still have the outside porch and garage door area to complete.

Right Side:

And here's my full Project Life spread for Week 20...

I used lots of goodies from SC's Planetarium PL kit for this spread and a few random items from my stash.

Have a great day and TFL!

Project Life - Week 1

Happy Monday!  I hope you had a great weekend :)  I spent most of mine in my craft room, which is always a good thing!

Today I have my first Project Life spread for January 2013 to share with you...

I gave a go at this Project Life thing last year, but I didn't start in January (it was March) and I didn't get past August.  It was sort of a trial run for me and I learned a lot about the way I want to approach this amazing project this year.

First off, I know I will mainly be using photos from my iPhone and my Instagram feed (username @adriennealvis).  Second, I want to keep it fairly simple and quick (I'm not going to be reinventing the PL wheel here, people!).  Third, I'm using Marcy Penner's Project Life planning pages (they're free!) so if I get behind (and I know I will) I can still be organized and remember all the details of the week.  I also know that I like a more "graphic" style and the photos are my main focus.  And last, but not least, I want to use products and items from my current stash (and maybe use up some of my old stash, too :)

For this week's spread I used the digital Project Life Seafoam Kit, printables from the Studio Calico Day by Day class, and items from my stash (basically whatever's lying closest to me on my desk).

I used a leftover "Happy New Year" headband the kids played with on New Year's Eve for the bottom left slot.

I journaled a paragraph about the overall week on this page and added a little more detail to the bottom right photograph.  The business card above that photo (gingiber) is from an indie print I ordered for my son's bedrooom.  I usually don't have a ton of memorabilia to include, but I really liked the business card's style.

And here's my spread for Week 1 of 2013!

I'm really going to try hard to stick with this...it's actually my No. 1 resolution...wish me luck!

Have a good one and TFL!

Cheers!

Happy New Year's to all!

2012 was a fabulous year for me and my family and I know that 2013 is going to be even better!  I have made a few resolutions (not quite as many as last year!), but my #1 resolution is completing a full year of Project Life!  I'm so excited to tackle this amazing project again and I even have my title page completed...

I'm also taking the Studio Calico PL class, Day by Day, and it starts tomorrow so hurry and get signed up before it's too late!

I hope that you have a fabulous New Year and cheers to new beginnings and a fresh start!  TFL!

Project Life

Here's my PL post for the week of August 13th - 15th...

I didn't take very many photos this week :(  So this PL spread is short and simple.  I guess now that the kids are in school, I won't have as many photos of them throughout the week, lol!

I printed this photo collage of my photos from The Color Run off of my home printer and just slipped it into a 12x12 album sleeve.

I'm struggling to keep this Project Life thing going...I've wanted to quit so many times and I think this may be the last week that I document :(  I'm still on the fence, so we'll see...

Happy Tuesday!  TFL!

Project Life Week 23

Oooh, it's finally Friday...whoot, whoot!  This has been a huge week for me.  My oldest son started fifth grade, my middle son started Kindergarten, and my youngest girl will be going to Pre-K on Monday.  All of our schedules are mixed up and different and we're trying to establish some sort of routine.

Tonight, I get to whisk away all by myself to stay with my sister and her family because tomorrow we're doing The Color Run in STL!  I'm not a runner (apparently you don't have to be to run this 5k) but I'm super excited to be a part of all the wonder, color, and just to hang out with my lil' sis :)  If you get a chance, you've got to check out The Color Run video on YouTube...super cool!

Also, I have some very BIG news that I can't quite share with you just yet...but I will very, very soon...so.excited.about.this!

Ok,  here's my PL spread for the week of August 6th - 12th...

Keeping it real simple still seems to be working for me.  I like using bigger photos and I tried to add a bit more journaling this week.  Yes, I do realize I stamped the "xoxo" backwards, lol!

I didn't take very many photos throughout the week so I filled up one side of my Project Life spread with the photos I've been taking for Photo-A-Day August.

The one thing I forgot to mention in my "10 Things" was that we watched a lot of the Olympics.  I really enjoyed having something decent to watch on television in the evenings with the hubby and the kiddos.  I didn't have to worry about language, content, or violence, which was nice!

My favorite product from this spread has to be the "birds on a wire" washi tape from Freckled Fawn.

Wish me luck tomorrow!  I just wanna make it across that finish line...can't wait to share photos!  Have a great weekend and TFL!

A Double Dose of Project Life

I caught up on my PL pages yesterday after being on vacation for a week.  I honestly have to say that before we went on vacation I was thinking about quitting Project Life altogether, but when I sat down to work on the last two weeks yesterday, I realized I was just a little burned out and the break did me some good :)

I kept it super simple again...that seems to work best for me right now...

Week of July 23rd - 29th

This week was very busy.  We were getting ready for our trip to Florida, finishing last minute projects, and saying goodbye to our friends who were getting ready to move away...I miss them so much already :(

Week of July 30th - August 5th

This was our vacation week.  I took over 300 photos so I will be making a mini album or two to house all of the pictures and stories from our trip.

My oops for the week is that the date should say August 5th (not 4th)!

I used SC's new August printables for this spread.

Hope you have a great day!  TFL!!
