Hello, everyone!

I'm here with a layout that I created using some Vibez, Coloringz, Texturez, and Shimmerz for the Shimmerz Paints blog today!

My son and his girlfriend recently went to his homecoming dance together and I managed to get some really great photos of them! I was inspired by the colors in the photo for this page, so I used some Kraft card stock and some Texturez in "Tidy Widy" and a plus sign stencil from my stash to create the dimensional background effect. I layered a single, wide, strip of patterned paper vertically down my page and used some Shimmerz in "Golden Wheat" to color the neutral striped piece of patterned paper. I simply swiped a dry paintbrush in the Shimmerz and brushed it on, making sure to not use too much.

After the Texturez dimensional paste dried, I used some Coloringz in "Night Moves", which is the perfect black, to add a few ink splatters around my page. I also forgot to mention that I lightly misted the Kraft card stock with some Vibez in "Glorious Day" to add just the right amount of shimmer to this layout. It's a little hard to tell in the photo how that looks.

I used several coordinating embellishments to complete my page and was really happy how this layout turned out!

I hope I've given you some inspiration for you next project using some Shimmerz Paints products! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

December Days Collection *Pinkfresh Studio*

Hello, everyone!

I can't believe it's already November and you know what that means...the holidays are literally right. around. the. corner!!! To get you into the joyous holiday spirit, I've created two layouts using the festive December Days collection from Pinkfresh Studio!

First up, I have a layout that I created using a photo of our little holiday helpers that tend to come around during the beginning of December...

I used some Kraft card stock for my background because I loved the way the beautiful patterned papers from the December Days collection looked paired with it! I cut out the "PEACE" sentiment from the "Tis The Season" patterned paper and placed it towards the bottom of my page. I added my photo and placed the frame-shaped chipboard sticker on top it.

Next, I filled in the remaining spots around my photo and the "PEACE" sentiment to look like a grid design and scattered embellishments around to help guide the eye around my page. I used some of the chipboard alpha stickers to place "ELVES" above the "PEACE" sentiment and layered a tag-shaped gold foil die cut above it to write my journaling on. I also layered several other gold foil die cuts and some wooden buttons around to add dimension and contrast to my overall design.

For my second layout, I chose the "Starry Night" patterned paper for my background and cut the "Christmas Magic" piece down so I could place it in the center of my page.

I used one of the patterned papers from the 6x6 paper pad and layered the photo of our Christmas cookies on top of it. The black and white words really make the colors in my photo pop! I utilized some of the white space in my photo to create my title by placing one of the cardstock stickers and a gold foiled wood sticker on it.

I layered several of the gold foil die cuts and the chipboard stickers around my page for embellishments. I love how the gold foil accents dress up my overall design!

I added my journaling towards the bottom of my page and layered a few puffy stickers from the December Days collection, along with some more gold foil die cuts, to add more dimension to my design. These awesome embellishments make it so easy to add just the right amount of flair to any design!

Thank you so much for joining me today and I hope I've helped get you into the holiday spirit at least a little bit with my creations!  :)

Big Fan! *Shimmerz Paints*

Hello, everyone!

I'm here to share a layout that I created for Shimmerz Paints using some Dazzlerz, Coloringz, and Shimmeringz!

I was inspired by the photo of my daughter at one of her big brother's football games and our hometown school colors for this layout. I started by choosing a couple of patterned papers from my stash and sizing them down to layer behind my photo.

I spritzed the plain white card stock that I used for my background paper with some Shimmeringz in "Concrete" and while it dried, I used some Dazzlerz in "Red-iculous" and a heart stencil from my stash to create the puffy hearts behind my photo. I love how the Dazzlerz texture paste shimmers and adds just the right amount of dimension to my layout!

I placed a few simple embellishments around my photo and stitched around the outside of the patterned papers using my sewing machine and some black thread so it would give it a bit of contrast.

I kept my overall design simple, but with the addition of the lovely Shimmerz paints, my page looks much more complete and visually interesting, don't you agree?

Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope you get a chance to grab your favorite Shimmerz Paints and create something amazing very soon!
