"Hello Fall" Mini

Hello, friends!  Happy Monday to you all :)

As promised from my Instagram feed, I have a mini album post for you today...Enjoy!

I had quite a collection of beautiful fall photos that I knew I wanted to put together in a mini album.  I had ordered a kit from www.kellypurkey.bigcartel.com several weeks ago and put it to good use for this fall mini.

I also used products from Studio Calico, Freckled Fawn, and lifelovepaper.

My overall theme or idea for this mini was to keep it fairly simple, use lots of Silhouette cuts, and use lots of gold accents.

I placed two leaf Silhouette cuts (from the online store) on my page and then misted them using some Mister Huey's Sunrise.  After the mist dried, I added my photo, embellishments, washi, and then stamped the arrows onto my page.  Pretty simple, huh?

One thing I love to add to my mini's are pockets.  I love tucking my journaling away into a little pocket and the kids love discovering what's hidden inside them!  Fun for everyone!  The cut file on the right side is from Kinsey Wilson.

I added a teeny tiny photo to my journaling tag and hand-wrote my sentiments on the back, added a few embellishments, washi, and stitching and it was done...

I think this might be my favorite page!  I used my Silhouette to cut out the "Fall Is Here" sentiment (from the online store), misted it with some Mister Huey's Sunrise, Taxi, and Gold, and then patted it dry with a paper towel.  On the right side, I used another pocket to house my journaling and I placed a smaller photo on top of it to mix it up a bit.  I like when photos in my mini's are different sizes.

I used the negative from my leaf cuts (online store) and misted the back of the pocket, added a tag, a stamp, and some washi.  Keeping it simple here, folks!

These are some photo strips that I made and placed in the big, vellum envelope from the previous photo...

As you can see, I used a lot of journaling tags from Studio Calico's digital printables throughout this mini.  I like that they coordinate with my pages and that I can print off as many as I need at home.  I guess you could say they're a great bang for your buck!

I placed some gold vellum over the black and white patterned paper on the left page to help tone down the pattern so my b&w photo would stand out better.  I misted the right page with some Mister Huey's Inky Black and Sunrise to coordinate with my pic.

I filled a large kraft envelope with some 3x3 photos and stitched the "love" cut file (from Studio Calico) onto the flap.

On this page (left), I took some negative pieces from a previous Silhouette cut (Kinsey Wilson's) and placed them in no particular order or pattern on my page.  I really like how it turned out, even though it wasn't pre-planned :)

The glassine bag was adhered to the back of the "Make Memories" tag from the previous photo.  Once, again I added a bunch of smaller photos inside of the bag to further document our Halloween evening.  (I apologize for the blurred photo...not quite sure what happened there!)

All of the photos that I have included in this mini are from the month of October.  Normally, around Southern Illinois, we usually don't have much of a fall.  But this year, we had an AMAZING one!  I was so inspired by all of the colors, temperatures, and events that October brought that I knew I had to document it in a special way.  I hope you enjoyed my little tribute to fall...have a great day!

TFL!!!
