All Girl & Lovely

Hello friends!  I hope everyone had a great weekend :)

I have a layout to share with you today...

My daughter is always dressing up in her Tinkerbell costume (left over from Halloween, of course!)  She is so girly and into everything pink, fluffy, and soft, right now.  I was so inspired by the colors in my photo that I couldn't resist making a whole layout using those colors!

I also used some Freckled Fawn star bits and I must say that they are AWESOME!

The "love" heart cut is from the Bright Ideas class at Studio Calico.

I also used a few Dear Lizzy products and some leftover paper from one of my December SC kits.

There ya have it...short and sweet today as I am trying to clean house, do laundry, and work on Week 6 of my PL!  Have a good one and TFL!

Anything You Want

I have a layout to share with you today that I made using some of the awesome printables from the Bright Ideas class and one of my favorite photos of my daughter, Avery...

I also used paper and embellishments from my January Studio Calico kit +Add-ons for this layout.  I layered the large printed vellum sheet over another sheet of patterned paper.  I really like this look :)

That adorable turquoise stitched pocket was perfect for the sentiment that I stuck inside of it that reads...

This layout will probably end up in a frame on the wall of my daughter's room...I want her to remember  how important it is for her to grow up having big dreams and never letting anything or anyone get in her way...I want her to remember that she can do anything she puts her mind to and that her father and I will always be there to help support her and her brothers reach their goals.  Always.

For Like Ever

Happy Monday, friends!  I hope you had a great weekend...and hopefully the team you were rooting for won the Super Bowl last night :)

The Bright Ideas class is in full swing at Studio Calico and here's a layout I created for the first challenge...

The challenge was to use a stencil design on a layout.  I don't know if my use of doilies and mist counts as an actual "stencil technique", but this is what I was inspired to do :)

I kept my color scheme very monochromatic with a pop of aqua which was inspired by the "snow" badge from HelloForever.  I also used paper from my January SC kit, Block Party +Add-ons.

My kiddos were disappointed when the snow started to melt and I thought it was so cute when they said that they wished it would stay on the ground "for like ever", lol!

Me Oh My

Happy Monday everyone!

There have been a lot of changes to my little world over the past week or so...some good, some bad, but always a reason to stop and be thankful for everything and everyone in my life right now.  It seems that once I get lulled into a sense of contentment and routine something happens and shakes it up a bit.  But that's life, right?  I'm just glad I'm living it and taking each new step or new struggle with a little stride and focusing on the positive.

I do have a layout to share with you today...

I take my little girl to preschool everyday (afternoon session) and she just loves spending those extra few moments before we go into the building laughing and singing and just being silly with me.  It's a small part of the day that I cherish because it's just her and I.  And I'm pretty sure she love it too ;)

This page was a quick one!  I literally grabbed every vellum arrow I had and sewed them onto my page around my photo.  I like the color combo and the overall design which is slightly out of my box as far as layouts go.

I used my SC December Kit +Add-ons for this layout and washi tape from Freckled Fawn.  The pink "Looking Up" arrow is from the February class at Studio Calico called Bright Ideas.  Registration is still open until 1.31 so make sure you sign up soon!  I'm a class contributor and I can tell you it's going to be a GREAT class!
