good eggs

Here's my take on this week's Sunday Sketch at Studio Calico...

I couldn't wait to scrap the pictures of the kids dyeing Easter eggs!  They were so well-behaved and careful not to stain every surface within a 15 foot radius!  Jubal really went to town hand-drawing pictures of EVERY family member on his eggs...he's my little artist :)

I used my City of Lights kit for this layout and some Mister Huey's Calico White for the paint splotches.

Happy Hump Day and thanks for looking ;)

this is Me...

I very rarely scrap layouts about myself.  I'm going to change that because I'm starting to realize how important these pieces of me will be to my children one day...maybe they'll even learn a few things they didn't know about their 'ol mom :)

This is my take on Sketch Three from Kelly Purkey's Sketchbook 4 class at Studio Calico...

I used my new Silhouette Cameo to make these days of the week embellishments.  I can already tell these are going to be very handy in my Project Life album.

I had a lot of fun with this sketch and I'm really loving Studio Calico's April Kit, City of Lights.

Happy Tuesday!  TFL ;)

Project Life Week Four

Well, it's Monday, my kids are still off of school, and I feel that I have a lot to accomplish this week in the very few minutes that I'm actually going to have to accomplish something.  I usually finish up my PL spread for the week on Sundays, but since yesterday was Easter I'm doing it today...

It was a very full week (again) for us...I kept the embellishments very minimal because I just didn't have the time to sit there and stare at the spread wondering what would look good where ;)  I do think this week's colorful photos do a lot to help counteract the minimalism, so I'm happy with it!  I think it still sends a very "Easter-ey" message, don't you?

If you're wondering where all the journaling is, it's on back of the super adorable days of the week cards I found (for free!) online at www.misstiina.com.

Highlights from this week include a last minute surprise trip to Chuck E. Cheese's with the kiddos, a much needed date night with my hubby and our favorite couple friends, and getting to see my super adorable niece for Easter, and Easter of course!

I hope all of you had a great Easter weekend!  TFL!

Yummers!

I've been having a lot of fun with Kelly Purkey's Sketchbook 4 class over at SC.  I've even been able to keep up with the sketches that are coming my way every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday...at least so far, anyway!

Here's my take on Sketch Two...

I got to use my brand new City of Lights Kit from Studio Calico for this layout ;)  How cute is that doily misting mask?

I want to wish everyone a safe and happy Easter weekend!  Ahhh...so much to do!

4.05.2012

I signed up for Kelly Purkey's Sketchbook 4 class over at Studio Calico and I'm super excited because I've never taken a class like this before.  It's only been very recent that I've started using sketches in my scrapbooking.  I just hope I can keep up with it!

Here's my layout using the first sketch...

My youngest son, Jubal, LOVES being outside.  He could spend hours just sitting in the dirt!  He is so much like his dad, it's scary!  LOL!  I really like how this page turned out and using the sketch made it come together so much faster, which is alway a huge bonus!

Happy Thursday!  TFL!

Project Life Week 3

Here's my PL spread for last week...

It was a very busy week around our house and my hubby started farming so I'm gearing up for that, which is always interesting :)

I used (a lot!) of my favorite washi tape, some printables I purchased online from www.marcypenner.com, and some stamps of mine from SC.  I also used a 4x6 flip pocket to house some extra goodies and a picture :)  TFL!

Happy Tuesday!

We're different. & Different is good.

I'm still using my March Kit, Story Hour, for most of my layouts.  I can't wait until my April Kit, City of Lights, arrives this week!

Here's a layout I threw together over the weekend...

I took these pictures while me and the kids (two of the three) were in the car waiting to take Jubal to school.  We were just being silly and goofing off...I love these crazy pics!  I've been having so much fun with the kids lately.  They're changing so fast and learning so many new things and I feel like I'm just trying to keep up with them :)  It's funny to see each one turning into their own "self" and individual.  They're all so different, but I can see things in each of them that are bits and pieces of myself and my husband, good and bad, and it's amazing how that works out.  I'm so lucky to be their mom and I love them all so much!

Happy Monday!  TFL!
