May Mix Up *Pinkfresh Studio*

Hello everyone!

I have a layout and a Project Life spread that I created by mixing the latest Pinkfresh Studio collections together! They pair so well with each other which made it really easy and fun to use for these projects.

For this layout, I started by choosing one of the patterned papers from the Dream On collection and layered some smaller paper pieces from the Live More collection on top of the background patterned paper. I love the sentiments on the "Rise" patterned paper piece from the Live More collection, don't you? Since I didn't want to cover it up completely, I layered the photos of my daughter and her puppy off to the left side of the "Rise" paper so most of the wording would stay in view. I also created a little motion by stamping the confetti behind my photos using the Live More stamp set.

For added color and dimension I placed several of the triangle shaped Studio Puffs from the Live More collection on top of the confetti stamps. I also added a few of the layered chipboard stickers from the Live More collection and The Mix No. 1 collection which is exclusively embellishments.

For my next project, I created a pocket page spread for my Project Life album for the month of March. After I printed my photos off on my home printer, I used the 6x6 paper pad from the Dream On and Live More collections to make my journaling cards for the 3x4 pockets. The smaller scale of the patterns look better for my overall design since the pocket sizes are smaller. I embellished directly onto my photos and the journaling cards by using items from the Dream On and Live More collections such as the studio puffs, card stock die cuts, and a few of the layered chipboard stickers.

I kept my spread cohesive my using the same color scheme for both pages and by layering some of the embellishments onto the photos themselves.

I created my title card, which is at the bottom right-hand corner of my spread, by simply placing some of the Live More acetate alphas on a piece of patterned paper from the same collection to spell out the month of March and adhering them using my mini stapler.

I love how the pastel colors of the Live More collection balance out the bolder colors of the Dream On and The Mix No.1 collections! I also love how they all coordinate with my everyday photos.

Thanks so much for joining me! I hope you have a great day and don't be afraid to "mix it up"!

February 2017 Project Life and A Layout *Hip Kit Club*

Hello, crafty friends!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and is having an even better Monday! I have two projects to share with you today that I created using the lovely February 2017 Hip Kits from Hip Kit Club...

First up is my Project Life spread for February...

I used the February 2017 Project Life Kit and embellished the exclusive journaling cards using items from Pink Paislee and Crate Paper.

I kept my embellishing to a minimum and layered the sentiment stickers from Pink Paislee directly on top of my photos.

Here's the full spread for the month of February...

Next, I have a layout that I created using the February Kits and one of this month's exclusive cut files (and free to subscribers!) that you can find here.

I have a process video at the end of this post that you can view to see how this page came together.

I just wanted to say that this is my last project for Hip Kit Club. Sadly, I've decided not to renew my term and it was a very hard decision to make because HKC is seriously the best! I have decided to follow some signs and my heart and venture out to pursue some other interests. I'm still going to continue to scrapbook and I'm still on a couple of other DT's, but my life as a parent and wife are evolving and I'm needing more time to fulfill these priorities. I just want to say that I've enjoyed EVERY project that I created using the amazing Hip Kit Club kits and that Kimberly is the kindest, sweetest person that I've ever designed for. I wish the new team all the best and will continue to follow them and use their amazing products.

And here's the process video for my layout above...

Thanks so much for joining me today and I hope you have a fabulous afternoon!

Hello 2017! *Hip Kit Club*

Hey, everyone!

I shared a layout and the title page for my 2017 Project Life album on the Hip Kit Club blog last Friday...

I used the lovely January 2017 Hip Kits from Hip Kit Club for this layout and one of this month's cut files that are free to subscribers!

After I cut out the large heart cut file using my Silhouette, I layered lots of the floral ephemera pieces from the Pink Paislee Moonstruck collection around my photos and along the hearts. I placed a few of the vellum heart stickers that are HKC Exclusives and are available in the January 2017 Embellishment Kit around the background of my page for an added pop of black and white.

I also added some more black and white pops of color around my page using some fussy-cut flowers from the January 2017 Leaf and Flower Printable sheet. For my title, I used the gold Thickers from the January 2017 Main Kit and another ephemera piece from the Moonstruck collection.

I have a process video on my YouTube channel for this layout so be sure and check it out!

Next up, I created the title page for my 2017 PL album using the January 2017 Project Life Kit...

I'm using a 9x12 album again this year since it worked out so well for me last year...I'm also going to continue to document monthly, using one full spread per month.

My favorite items from the Project Life Kit include the gorgeous HKC Exclusive Project Life cards and the Heidi Swapp Instax frames. I love how the pop of rose gold looks with my color scheme!

I normally don't write my New Year's resolutions down, but this year I decided to include our resolutions as a family front and center so they'll be a great reminder throughout the year.

How are you tackling your Project Life album this year? Any changes or ways that you want to do things differently? I'd love to hear, so be sure and leave me a comment!

Thanks so much for joining me and I hope you have a wonderful day!
