Tasty Treats *Come On Get Crafty*

Hello everyone!

I created a layout for the Come On Get Crafty blog today using "Something Old and Something New" from the COGC shop...

I had pieces of the Cheerful Chalkboard Dear Lizzy Polka Dot Party patterned paper leftover and used it because the sentiments on it went so well with the photos of my son being silly and getting crazy with his ice cream cake.

I paired it with some new Elle's Studio labels and October Afternoon embellishments that coordinated with the other colors of patterned paper I chose.

I had also been hoarding that large wood veneer ampersand so I painted it white and added it to the bottom of my page.  I love how using leftover or hoarded goodies with fresh, new supplies can come together so well!  To see more info about my layout, head on over to the COGC blog today.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Oh The Memories Of Dance *Come On Get Crafty*

Hello everyone!

I'm sharing this layout on the Come On Get Crafty blog for today's Product Showcase...

I used items from the Basic Grey Aurora Collection for this layout.  I love the navy and aqua color combo and how it coordinates so well with my photo.

I also added a few gold ink splatters and some gold embellishments for an additional color pop.

The BG Aurora Chipboard pieces are great for layering and adding extra dimension to any project!

And how fun are those letter stickers?!?! You can see my full post on the COGC blog.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a good one :)

All My Heart *Come On Get Crafty*

Hello crafty friends!

I shared this layout over on the Come On Get Crafty blog last week showcasing the Basic Grey Aurora 6x6 Paper Pad...

The photo was taken this past Easter and I absolutely love when I can get our whole clan into one picture!

I sized this layout at 8.5x11 for a little twist and layered lots of patterned paper pieces from the BG 6x6 Paper Pad on top of the background card stock.  I also layered several embellishments from PinkFresh Studio and Elle's Studio around my page to enhance my design.

I typed my journaling onto the 3x4 filler card using my vintage typewriter and stitched a vellum die cut from Elle's Studio directly on top.  I love how the type still shows through the soft pink vellum.

Be sure and stop by the COGC shop and grab some goodies for your next project or creation!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

*COGC* August Sketch Challenge

Hello!

There's a new sketch challenge up over on the Come On Get Crafty blog for August...

This month's sketch is fairly simple and straightforward, but it still leaves a lot of room for layering and embellishing.  Here's my take...

I stuck close to the sketch and scrapped some of my favorite fireworks photos from this past Fourth of July.

I misted on the background card stock and then added part of my title.  I stitched a few lines to mimic "fireworks" and layered the rest of my letter stickers and some sequins around the stitching.

All of the items I used for this layout are from the COGC shop.

To play along with the COGC sketch challenge this month and to get a chance to win a $5 Gift Card to the shop, see the full post here.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Today Is Better With You

Happy Wednesday!

I'm sharing this layout I created showcasing some Dear Lizzy Polka Dot Party Label Stickers on the Come On Get Crafty blog today...

I don't use label stickers very often, so I challenged myself and used them as the background behind my photo strip.

I used foam adhesive dots to pop up my layers on this page to give it some extra dimension.

I used some Maggie Holmes Flea Market Ephemera Pack bits from the COGC shop on my page to created additional layers.

Be sure and stop by the Come On Get Crafty blog to get more details about this page.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
