Hello friends!
I'm sharing this layout over at the Chic Tags blog today...
My daughter is so happy that it's summertime because all she wants to wear is her swimsuit and now I don't have to keep telling her "no, it's too cold", lol! And we don't even own a pool...ha!
I used some Heidi Swapp banners to help pull in my color scheme. I love the Color Magic products because they are so fun to create with!
I layered clusters of tags from the new Chic Tags Collections under my title and on the upper right-hand corner of my photo.
Supplies Used: Everyday Life II (A/B Tags, Mini Tags, Icons), Road Trip (Note Clips), Birthday Cake (Banners)
You can see my full post here...have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

I also used several 4x6 and 3x4 journaling cards from Studio Calico's June Project Life Kit, Roundabout.
A few highlights from this week included great weather, our long awaited landscaping project got underway, and I took the kids to see a movie one lazy afternoon :)
Right Side:
I finally got to break out my first "summer read" and relax a bit this week...I definitely needed to kick back a little bit because it's just been so busy around here and I have my work cut out for me next week, lol!

June Card Sketch Challenge - Lily Bee Design
Happy Tuesday, friends!
I'm over at the Lily Bee blog today along with the super-talented Becky Williams sharing a few "Fatherhood" themed cards. Yes, I said cards, lol! I don't think I've made a card in over two years! It certainly was a fun switch and I really enjoyed using Becky's sketch.
For my first card, I used lots of product from the Destination Collection and I switched out the squares in the sketch for circles...
I also added a little cluster of embellishments at the top left-hand corner to draw the eye across the card. I love how using sketches help jumpstart my creativity and are flexible enough to add in other elements.
For my second card, I stayed very true to Becky's sketch and kept most of the elements in the same place.
Once again, I used lots of product from the Destination Collection for this card...it's perfect for masculine and travel-themed projects.
Be sure and check out the full post here and see how Becky interpreted the sketch. You can also play along with our sketch challenge this month and be entered into a drawing to win a Lily Bee prize package. See the full details here.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

It's A Beautiful Day...
It's another Challenge Sunday over at the Chic Tags blog today and it's all about using song lyrics on a project. I couldn't wait to break out my Cameo for this one and knew exactly what lyrics I wanted to use.
I love listening to this song when I'm driving in the car, running, or just when I need a little "uplifting".
I used my Cameo to cut out the lyrics that I also used as my title. I also used some fun cloud accents and some large gold confetti circles behind a few of the clouds to represent the sun.
I had this photo of my daughter running down the road just as happy and free as she could be :) It was one of the first warm days of the season and we were on a little nature walk.
I kept the embellishing and layering to a minimum because I wanted my title to be the focus of my layout.
Chic Tags Used: Birthday Cake (Artisans), Everyday Life II (A/B Tags, Icons, Snip-Em Tags), Road Trip (Note Clips)
Have a song stuck in your head? Turn it into a layout and link it up here for a chance to win some Chic Tag goodies!
Have a great day and TFL!

Lily Bee + PageMaps
Happy Tuesday!
Lily Bee Design and PageMaps are working together this month to offer you even MORE inspiration and layout ideas!
I had the chance to work with a 12x12 double layout sketch...yes, that's right, I said DOUBLE!
I thought these photos of my daughter were perfect for this spread. I love all the different angles of the shots spread across the two pages.
I used my Cameo to cut out the photo frames and the sunburst cut that I used on the right side of the spread. I also layered lots of chipboard stickers and bits around my photos to help execute my "spring" theme.

I had a blast with the sketch and haven't scrapped a double 12x12 spread in years!

Project Life - Week 22
Happy Monday!
Here's a look at my Project Life spread for Week 22...
We're still making slow progress with our home and outside projects. Small steps are all I can expect at this point.
Here's a look at my Project Life spread for Week 22...
It's been very rainy, cool, and dreary around here lately so I decided to use LOTS of colors in this spread. Mainly primary and very rainbow-ish :)
The week started off wonderfully (weather-wise) and the kids enjoyed playing in the water and running around with their bathing suits on.
I made this little fold out pocket using one of the PL cards from Studio Calico's Project Life Kits...
And here's a shot of it folded up in the page protector. I also added a sentiment sticker at the bottom for fun...
Left Side:
We ended up having a few storms toward the end of the week and over 7 inches of rain in two days...not good for my farmer husband who was needing it to dry up!
We're still making slow progress with our home and outside projects. Small steps are all I can expect at this point.
Lots of rain and flooding means lots of fishing around here and the kids took full advantage!
Right Side:
And here's the full spread for Week 22...
I used lots of leftover SC PL kits and some of the Project Life Core Kit Seafoam Edition for this spread.
Oh, and as I was photographing this spread I realized I forgot to add in the "week #" so here it is...lol...
I hope you're having a great Monday! TFL!
