the last 3

With last week being completely packed with Week In The Life posts, I didn't have a chance to post the last three layouts from my Sketchbook 4 class from SC.

Here they are...

I used April's City of Lights kit for all three of these layouts, with a few random bits of paper and pieces that were on my table.

I've got a lot to catch up on today and I'm hoping I get to spend every spare moment in my craft room :)  I just keep wondering how different life will be in a couple week's when the kids are out of school.  We shall see...

Happy Wednesday!  Have a good one ;)

oh snap

This is my take on Sketch 9 for the Sketchbook Four class I'm taking...

I used those super cute wood veneer cameras to showcase my collection of cameras...a point and shoot, digital SLR, and an Instax.  I just wish they had an one that was iPhone shaped because I use that camera the most!

All those tags are from a past SC kit and I was waiting for just the right page to use them...

This was another fun sketch!  Got lots to do this weekend, so I'm off to go do it!

Have a great weekend and TFL!

eight is great

When I first looked at Sketch Eight from my Sketchbook 4 class I'm taking, I wasn't very inspired.  But then I found some really funny pictures of Avery and it just kind of came together!  I love when that happens!  I kept this layout clean and graphic and I have to say, it was fun switching up my style a bit.

I embossed the paper doll stamp on the right with some SU! white embossing powder and some Versamark ink.  I think it really makes the page.  All the paper and embellies I used came from SC's City of Lights April kit.  The patterned paper I used were all table scraps I had leftover from other layouts and they all worked out perfectly for this page.

Well, I'm off to clean house, mow the lawn, and get ready to take my hubby out to dinner for his birthday today...so much to do, so little time!

Have a good one!  TFL ;)

oh, boy!

Here's my take on Sketch Seven from my Sketchbook 4 class I'm taking...

I'm still using my City of Lights +Add-Ons for most of these sketches, although my supplies from this kit are getting low...and fast!

I'm really, really, loving this class.  Using these sketches has cut my layout production time in half!  I don't hover over the blank page wondering where to start (which is the hardest part of the whole layout for me!) anymore...so I'm glad I took this class.  I'll have 28 sketches to use and there's so many different ways of interpreting them, the possibilities are endless!

Well, the week's half over and I can't believe how fast this month is going.  I'm trying my best to keep up, so far, so good!  Next week, I'm going to be participating in Ali Edwards Week In The Life starting on Monday.  This will be my first time with Week In The Life, although I did participate in A Day In The Life back in February.  I highly recommend going over to her website and checking this out.  She also has some free PDF's you can use to help you document your week.  You DON'T have to be a scrapbooker to reap the benefits from this amazing documentation process.  It's really a great challenge and I know you'll enjoy it!

TFL :)

No. Six

This is my take on Sketch Six from the Sketchbook 4 class I'm taking...

I used April's kit, City of Lights, for this layout...how cute is that paper doll stamp?  I was very inspired by the colors of my niece Maria's picture.  I've been doing a lot of bright lately and I wanted to soften it up a bit.

Isn't she the cutest?

I can't believe it's Monday again!  Where is this year going?
TFL!

on the hunt

Here's my take on Sketch Five from Kelly Purkey's Sketchbook Four class at SC...

I really enjoyed this sketch because it was totally out of my "realm" as far as design goes, but I think this one is my favorite so far :)

I used my City of Lights kit + Add-Ons from Studio Calico for this layout.  TFL!

this is Me...

I very rarely scrap layouts about myself.  I'm going to change that because I'm starting to realize how important these pieces of me will be to my children one day...maybe they'll even learn a few things they didn't know about their 'ol mom :)

This is my take on Sketch Three from Kelly Purkey's Sketchbook 4 class at Studio Calico...

I used my new Silhouette Cameo to make these days of the week embellishments.  I can already tell these are going to be very handy in my Project Life album.

I had a lot of fun with this sketch and I'm really loving Studio Calico's April Kit, City of Lights.

Happy Tuesday!  TFL ;)

Yummers!

I've been having a lot of fun with Kelly Purkey's Sketchbook 4 class over at SC.  I've even been able to keep up with the sketches that are coming my way every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday...at least so far, anyway!

Here's my take on Sketch Two...

I got to use my brand new City of Lights Kit from Studio Calico for this layout ;)  How cute is that doily misting mask?

I want to wish everyone a safe and happy Easter weekend!  Ahhh...so much to do!

4.05.2012

I signed up for Kelly Purkey's Sketchbook 4 class over at Studio Calico and I'm super excited because I've never taken a class like this before.  It's only been very recent that I've started using sketches in my scrapbooking.  I just hope I can keep up with it!

Here's my layout using the first sketch...

My youngest son, Jubal, LOVES being outside.  He could spend hours just sitting in the dirt!  He is so much like his dad, it's scary!  LOL!  I really like how this page turned out and using the sketch made it come together so much faster, which is alway a huge bonus!

Happy Thursday!  TFL!
