Cheer Captured *Shimmerz Paints*

Hello crafty friends!

I'm here with a festive layout that I created using one of my favorite holiday photos and some beautiful Shimmerz paints

To begin, I used a piece of white card stock and some Acritonez, which is a self-priming acrylic paint with a matte finish, in "3 Sheets to the Wind" as a base for my design and to help the Vibez and Coloringz colors pop! I used a piece of leftover packaging to create the design that you can see below...

I chose the Coloringz, which are non-shimmering, in "Pretty in Pink" and "Oh Say Can U Sea" because the colors coordinated so well with the patterned paper that I chose for my layout! I also added some Vibez in "Cold As Ice" because it was the perfect shade of blue and added some shimmer to my page.

As you can see in the photo above, I also added some Texturez shimmering, dimensional paste in Crushed Coral to my design by spreading it over a stencil that matched the design of the patterned paper that I chose to use.

I completed my design by adding a title to my photo and by placing some glittery pops of red around my page. I really love incorporating non-traditional Christmas colors on my holiday layouts!

I hope everyone had a fabulous and festive holiday season! Thank you so much for joining me today!

Cute Cousins *Shimmerz Paints*

Hello crafty friends!

I'm here today with a layout that I created using some lovely paint products from Shimmerz! I was really inspired by the colors in the photos that I used to mix up some metal colors!

To begin my design, I sprayed the musical note patterned paper with some Shimmeringz spray ink in "Heavy Metal" and Vibez spray ink in "Glorious Day". The shimmery sprays look so beautiful together with the contrasting mixed metal tones which are very on-trend right now!

After the ink dried, I used a stencil and some Texturez shimmering, dimensional paste in "Gold Mine" to create some dimension behind my photos. I love how the gold makes the red accents in my photos pop!

I also added a few ink splatters using some Coloringz in "Night Moves"...it's the perfect black color that doesn't contain any shimmer and really helps draw the eye around my page.

Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope I've inspired you to mix up those metals and create something amazing!

Hello, everyone!

I'm here with a layout that I created using some Vibez, Coloringz, Texturez, and Shimmerz for the Shimmerz Paints blog today!

My son and his girlfriend recently went to his homecoming dance together and I managed to get some really great photos of them! I was inspired by the colors in the photo for this page, so I used some Kraft card stock and some Texturez in "Tidy Widy" and a plus sign stencil from my stash to create the dimensional background effect. I layered a single, wide, strip of patterned paper vertically down my page and used some Shimmerz in "Golden Wheat" to color the neutral striped piece of patterned paper. I simply swiped a dry paintbrush in the Shimmerz and brushed it on, making sure to not use too much.

After the Texturez dimensional paste dried, I used some Coloringz in "Night Moves", which is the perfect black, to add a few ink splatters around my page. I also forgot to mention that I lightly misted the Kraft card stock with some Vibez in "Glorious Day" to add just the right amount of shimmer to this layout. It's a little hard to tell in the photo how that looks.

I used several coordinating embellishments to complete my page and was really happy how this layout turned out!

I hope I've given you some inspiration for you next project using some Shimmerz Paints products! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Big Fan! *Shimmerz Paints*

Hello, everyone!

I'm here to share a layout that I created for Shimmerz Paints using some Dazzlerz, Coloringz, and Shimmeringz!

I was inspired by the photo of my daughter at one of her big brother's football games and our hometown school colors for this layout. I started by choosing a couple of patterned papers from my stash and sizing them down to layer behind my photo.

I spritzed the plain white card stock that I used for my background paper with some Shimmeringz in "Concrete" and while it dried, I used some Dazzlerz in "Red-iculous" and a heart stencil from my stash to create the puffy hearts behind my photo. I love how the Dazzlerz texture paste shimmers and adds just the right amount of dimension to my layout!

I placed a few simple embellishments around my photo and stitched around the outside of the patterned papers using my sewing machine and some black thread so it would give it a bit of contrast.

I kept my overall design simple, but with the addition of the lovely Shimmerz paints, my page looks much more complete and visually interesting, don't you agree?

Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope you get a chance to grab your favorite Shimmerz Paints and create something amazing very soon!

Crazy Fun *Shimmerz Paints*

Hello, crafty friends!

I'm here today with a layout that I created using some lovely Shimmerz Paints products including Acritonez, Vibez, and Coloringz! I also shared this on the Shimmerz blog today!

I prepped the thin blue and white striped patterned paper that I chose to use for my background with some Acritonez in "3 Sheets To The Wind" and swiped it in thin layers across the paper using an old gift card. After it was almost dry, I lightly spritzed some Vibez, a pigmented spray with shimmer, in "Blue Jeans" around my page and then added a few spritzes in some "Pretty In Pink" Coloringz spray that is non-shimmering. I love a healthy mix of both! I also added a little bit of black to my background using some Acritonez in "Shimmerz Tar, Tar" and some bubble wrap to create a little more texture. Simply swipe the Acritonez on a small piece of bubble wrap with a dry paintbrush and lightly press it onto your paper!

Once that was dry, I layered a few pieces of patterned paper under my photo and placed the grouping in the middle of my layout. I also stuck a journaling card to the left side of my photo and punched out some different sized hearts in coordinating pieces of paper to add an extra shape element to my overall design.

I had some white foam stickers and phrases that I wanted to use for the title of my page, but since the white was sort of washed out for my color combo, I took some Acritonez self-priming acrylic paint in "Shimmerz Tar, Tar" and a dry paintbrush and altered the color of the foam letters.

I also added the rest of my title using a stamp and some black ink to coordinate with the rest of the letters. I added a few splotches of black Coloringz in "Night Moves", too.

Thanks so much for joining me today and don't forget that you can alter other items to go along with your color scheme just by using some Shimmerz! Have a great day, everyone!

Birthday Fun! *Shimmerz Paints*

Hey, crafty friends!

I'm sharing this layout on the Shimmerz blog today documenting my daughter's 8th birthday that I created using some Paste-eez, Vibez, and Coloringz!

I began the design for my layout with a piece of gray and white diagonal striped pattern paper and a stamp from my stash that spells out "FUN". I placed the photo of my daughter in the general area where I wanted it to be and stamped the "FUN" sentiment around my page in random places. I used some StazOn ink in black for the stamping because it dries quickly and doesn't run when I add color or watercolor ink to it.

I used a dry watercolor brush and dipped it in some Vibez, "Razzledazzle Berry" and Coloringz in "No Yoking" and "Mamma Sings the Blues" and lightly brushed the colors inside of the "FUN" stamp outlines.

Next, I added some textured dots or "sprinkles" all around my layout using a stencil and some Paste-eez smooth dimensional paste in "Baby Boy Blue". I love how the Paste-eez has a flat finish without any shimmer or shine to it.

Next, I added some letter stickers next to one of the stamped sentiments to create my title. I love how the colors mix with the pops of black and white around my page! To complete my design, I added several large fringed butterfly embellishments and called it done!

Using a stamp word phrase or sentiment and some Shimmerz Paints spray ink is a great way to add a little twist (and color) to your page or project! Thanks for joining me and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Dreams Are For Chasing *Shimmerz Paints*

Hello, friends!  I'm here today with a layout that I created using some gorgeous Coloringz and Paste-eez from Shimmerz Paints!

I chose a piece of cardstock that I had used from a previous project that had been through my Silhouette machine and had nine large hearts cut out of it to use for my background design. I simply placed the heart cut-outs over another solid piece of cardstock and used some Coloringz in Pretty in Pink, Peachy Keen, and No Yoking to create an ombre effect on my page.

After the spray ink dried, I grabbed a triangle stencil from my stash and some Paste-eez, a smooth dimensional paste that has a flat finish, in Tree Hugger and placed a random pattern of triangles across the ombre hearts.

I layered my photo on top of some patterned paper tags and scattered some butterfly shapes that I fussy-cut and completed my page. I also sprinkled a few drops of Coloringz in Night Moves, which is black without any shimmer, to coordinate with the pops of black in the pattern papers I chose and my title, Dreams Are For Chasing.

Don't be afraid to get creative with your leftover scrap pieces, especially if they have shapes or images cut out of them! They make great stencils and page accents.

Thanks so much for joining me here and I hope you have a fabulous day!

First Day 2017 *Shimmerz Paints*

Hello, crafty peeps! I have this layout that I created using some of my favorite Shimmerz products documenting my kids' first day back to school up on the Shimmerz Paints blog today. I seriously can't believe how much they grew this summer and are starting another year so soon!

With most of my layouts, I usually choose a piece of patterned paper or cardstock first and then add some Shimmerz to create or enhance the background. For this layout, I swiped some Acritonez self-priming acrylic paste in 3 Sheets to the Wind across the stripes on the patterned paper using the flat end of an old gift card and then chose some Coloringz spray inks in No Yoking, Pretty in Pink, and Oh Say Can U Sea to lightly mist on top of the Acritonez after it dried a bit.

I also lightly dabbed some of the excess Coloringz ink up using a paper towel so it muted the effect of the color a little bit.

I felt like my page needed some more dimension, so I grabbed some Dazzlerz texture paste in Tutti Frutti, which is a beautiful light pink color with just a hint of shimmer, and a stencil so I could add some smaller confetti style dots around my layout. I also accented my page using some punched out stars and enamel dots to mix up the dimension and detail.

I love how well the colors turned out using the Shimmerz and how fun and happy the overall design of my page turned out!

Thanks so much for joining me and I hope you have a great day!

Cute Kings *Shimmerz Paints

Hello, crafty friends!

I'm here with a colorful layout that I shared on the Shimmerz Paints blog yesterday using some Coloringz and Acritonez!

I took my two youngest kiddos back-to-school shopping recently and we stopped at a Burger King on the way home, which was a treat since our hometown doesn't have one. I snapped a cute photo of them wearing their BK king hats and printed off three of the same photo, but using different color combinations...black and white, full color, and one that was more muted.

I grabbed a piece of patterned paper from my stash and took some Acritonez in "Pinkadelic" and an old credit card and swiped the color on in different areas. I spritzed some Coloringz in "Mandarin Mai Tai" and "Peachy Keen" on some larger strips of black and white patterned paper and dabbed off the excess using a paper towel.

I adhered the black and white patterned paper strips on top of the pink and yellow patterned paper and then added some Acritonez in "Shimmerz Tar Tar" to a piece of product packaging and used the bubble wrap technique to create the black splotches at the top left of my page.

After I placed my photos on my page, I used a few wooden embellishments for added dimension and some gold Thickers to create my title. I love how fun and happy this page is! The orange, yellow, and pink really set off the black and white accents, don't you think?

Thanks so much for joining me...and I encourage you to get out your Shimmerz in your favorite color schemes and create a new layout using some of your favorite photos today!
