Doer *Hip Kit Club*

Hello everyone!

I'm sharing this layout I created using the March 2016 Hip Kits over on the Hip Kit Club blog today!

My daughter pulled her own tooth the other day and I just couldn't wait to capture her pride and excitement on paper! I started by embellishing the top of the patterned paper piece I chose to use as my background from Pinkfresh Studio using some older HKC exclusives and color block wood veneer stickers (also from Pinkfresh Studio).

I layered her photo on top of several pieces of patterned paper including the beautiful striped piece that was designed by Hip Kit's very own Kim Watson and is exclusive to Hip Kit Club!

I layered several die cut pieces from Pinkfresh Studio to the right of my photo and added a few more of the wood veneer stickers to complete my design.

The March 2016 Hip Kits are packed with so many gorgeous papers and embellishments and are perfect for all of your spring scrapping projects so grab yours today before they're gone!

Thanks so much for dropping by today and I hope you have a great afternoon!

Favorite Find *Hip Kit Club*

Hi everyone and happy Tuesday!

I'm sharing this layout that I created using the March 2016 Hip Kits from Hip Kit Club over on their Facebook page today...

I used this March cut file from Ashley Horton and placed it near the top and bottom of my page, leaving some room for the photo of my daughter with her "favorite find" from the nature hike we took a couple of weeks ago.

I used the whole flower kit from BasicGrey that's available in the March 2016 Embellishment Kit and layered them on top of, under, and around the floral cut file.

I used several puffy sequin stickers and silver glitter foam stickers from Pinkfresh Studio to add some color and even more dimension to my design.

I journaled on a Pinkfresh Studio die cut and placed it to the left of my photo and added my title next to it as well.

I just love all of the colors and layers this page has! The March 2016 Hip Kits are full of gorgeous products that will get your spring scrapping projects off to a great start so grab yours today before they're all gone!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

My Fave *Hip Kit Club*

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday!

I'm sharing this layout on the Hip Kit Club blog this morning...

My daughter celebrated her 7th birthday last week and I was just itching to scrap some of the photos from her special day. I started by trimming the woodgrain and pink triangle design out of the Pink Paislee C'est La Vie patterned paper and placed it on the right side of the polka dotted paper to give it some contrast.

I placed several photo frames from the Pink Paislee C'est La Vie Collection and from the Amy Tangerine Better Together Gold Acetate Overlays that are available in the February 2016 Embellishment Kit on my page and overlapped them slightly.

I journaled on the pink part of the patterned paper piece that I cut out near the top right-hand side of my layout and added several gold embellishments such as the glitter cork hearts from Pink Paislee and a few gold foil sticker hearts from Maggie Holmes.

The number 7 from the Pink Paislee C'est La Vie Ephemera Pack (available in the Main Kit) coordinated perfectly with the pop of pink at the top of my page so I added it next to one of my photos to signify the age of my daughter.

And of course I couldn't resist using a couple of those fringe hearts from Maggie Holmes on my layout, too! They're definitely one of my most favorite embellishments ever! This was the last project I created using the February 2016 Hip Kits so next week I'll have a layout using the new March kits here on the blog so be sure and stop back by!

Have a great day!

February 2016 Project Life *Hip Kit Club*

Hello!

I'm sharing my February 2016 Project Life spread on the Hip Kit Club Facebook page today!

I used the February 2016 Hip Kits for this spread and I'm continuing on with my 9x12 size because I just LOVE it!!! I printed my photos off at 2.5"x2.5" and left just enough of a white border around it to add my journaling and to make it look more like an Instax/Polaroid photo. I did all of this in Photoshop Elements and just saved a template so I could easily replace the photos in it each month.

I layered several of the Amy Tangerine Stickers from the February 2016 Project Life Kit on my photos to enhance my color scheme and I layered several of the Pink Paislee C'est La Vie Ephemera bits (available in the February 2016 Main Kit) around my spread as well.

During the month of February, my youngest son turned 9, my husband and I returned from our trip to Bora Bora and celebrated our 10 year anniversary...plus add Valentine's Day in there and the beginning of my daughter's dance competition season and it was quite the eventful month!

Here's the right side of my spread...

I kept it cohesive with the left side and tried to visually balance the colors, photo placements, and embellishments.

And here's a look at my full PL spread for February 2016...

I really love how this spread turned out and how great the color scheme looks with my photos! I hope I've given you a little Project Life inspiration today! Have a great afternoon!

Life Noted Collection Layouts *Pinkfresh Studio*

Hello everyone!

I'm sharing two layouts that I created using the Life Noted Collection on the Pinkfresh Studio blog today.

This first layout was inspired by the lovely yellow and green patterned papers in the collection...I think they paired very nicely with the palm tree photo that I wanted to use.

I placed my 4x6 photo toward the top right-hand corner of the green and white striped patterned paper and cut out two large triangles using the yellow and white patterned paper and placed one at the top of my page and one at the bottom. I added some black stitching to the triangles for a little color contrast.

I placed one of the acetate phrases from the Life Noted Collection in the corner of my photo and layered some more green and white striped patterned paper from the 6x6 paper pad under my photo. I also layered a leaf cut file piece and some more yellow and white patterned paper for extra dimension and even more color contrast.

I also layered a few of the foil wood veneer tiles on top of a few rectangular pieces I cut out from the grid patterned paper and placed them around my photo to help direct the eye around my page.

For this next layout, I used the large lettered "Life" patterned paper and placed four of my favorite photos from a recent vacation to Bora Bora under the sentiment.

I added the word "island" using the letter stickers from the Life Noted Collection on top of the word "Life" for my title.

I hand cut several of the cube designs from another piece of patterned paper from the collection and used some dimensional foam adhesive to adhere them around my page. I love the geometric design the cubes give my page and how the pops of color at the top of them help accent the colors of my photos.

I kept the overall design of this layout simple because I really wanted my photos to shine.

I love how versatile the Life Noted Collection is. No matter your style or preference, there are so many beautiful and different ways you can use this collection for your projects!

March "Shine" Embellishment Kit Projects *Freckled Fawn*

Hi friends!

I created these two layouts using the March Freckled Fawn Embellishment Kit, "Shine"...

I couldn't resist using those adorable clouds all over my layout. I really love how they look with the photos of my daughter dressed up as a leprechaun!

I painted one of the sunburst wood veneer chips from the kit yellow and layered an orange acrylic star on top to make it pop and to add some extra dimension.

I machine stitched a rainbow shape on my page before I layered my photos and embellishments on my page. I love how well the letter stickers look on top of the blue cloud shape!

This next layout was inspired by the sunburst wood chips and thin washi tape available in the March Kit.

I punched patterned paper circles in various sizes and layered them together before I placed the wood veneer pieces on top of them.

I added my photo to the middle of my page and placed one of the stickers from the kit near the top of it.

I added other wood veneer pieces from past kits and you can see my blog post about this here.

Be sure and grab your Shine embellishment kit from Freckled Fawn today! I hope you have a great day!

Ooh La La *Hip Kit Club*

Hello everyone!

I'm here today sharing another layout that I created using the lovely February 2016 Hip Kits! I had a few photos of my daughter that were taken right before her first dance performance of the season and I couldn't resist using a black and white color combo with pops of gold and pink!

oohlala1

I used both sides of the black and white polka-dotted/lettered paper from Pebbles for my background and cut apart several of the sentiments from the Pink Paislee C'est La Vie patterned paper (available in the February 2016 Main Kit) so I could layer them above my photos.

oohlala3

I placed my title above my photos using the beautiful Pink Paislee C'est La Vie Mirror Stickers from the February 2016 Embellishment Kit and continued my page design vertically down the middle.

oohlala4

Underneath my photos I used two more sentiments from the Pink Paislee C'est La Vie patterned paper and placed two of the ampersand die cuts from the Pink Paislee Ephemera pack (available in the Main Kit) in the middle of them using some dimensional foam adhesive.

I love how well the black and white paper makes my photos pop and gives it a modern feel. I also love how the pink and gold accents make it more feminine and soft. The mix of both aesthetics really helped me convey the feeling of how hard my daughter works to look this cute on stage! Lol!

Thanks so much for stopping by this morning!
