Fawnies and Oddies share the stage, mix up products and bring the WOW with a fun blog hop that runs now through Monday, May 5th at midnight EDT! See how cute and quirky stamps pair up with sweet and darling embellishments as you hop along, and be sure to leave a comment at each stop because there will be two winners! Each will get a fabulous prize from BOTH Some Odd Girl and Freckled Fawn!
You might have arrived here from Kristy's blog; if so, you're on the right track! If not, you can get started at the Freckled Fawn blog.

I used the April OHDEERME Kit from Freckled Fawn and the Everyday Smiles Stamp Set from Some Odd Girl Stamps for my Week 16 pocket page spread...

Left Side:

The Freckled Fawn April OHDEERME Kit had so many fabulous embellishments in it that I used most of them on this project...

I was really inspired by the color scheme in the kit and used it throughout this week's spread.

I embossed the sentiments from the Everyday Smiles Stamp Set from Some Odd Girl Stamps using gold embossing powder to coordinate with the gold embellies in the OHDEERME kit.

The Everyday Smiles Stamp Set was perfect for using on my weekly spread...the sentiments fit perfectly onto the 3x4 journaling cards that I used.

Right Side:

I love how the gold embossed stamping stands out on my page!  And I love how easily the stamp set coordinates with the April OHDEERME kit :)

Below, I stamped and embossed the circle element in gold and then layered black rhinestones from the April OHDEERME kit on top of them for some extra dimension.

The stamp fonts were lovely and would coordinate well on any project or layout.

I embossed directly onto the photo below...

Here is your hop list... Feel free to hop at your own pace over the next few days but be sure not to miss anybody, because our winners will be randomly drawn from ANY of the blogs along the hop!

the fun stuff you see along the way! Thank you SO MUCH to Some Odd Girl and the amazing Odd Girls for joining us for this event! Happy hump day, and join us next Wednesday when we announce the winners! Now you're off to Some Odd Girl blog, and remember you have until MONDAY, MAY 5th at MIDNIGHT EASTERN to leave your comments.

Good luck, and have fun!

All Stars

Happy Monday, friends!

I'm trying to keep up with my blog posts, but it's been nearly impossible to do lately.  Spring is always such a crazy, busy time for me so I'm trying not to be too hard on myself, lol!

Here's a layout I created using the Scrapbook Circle April kit, Bucket List...

This layout is all about layers and not taking myself too seriously...my friend and I happened to have the same kind of sneakers on one day at the park and I thought is was a cute "shoe selfie" shot.

You can see my full post here on the SBC blog.

I layered lots of ephemera bits from Elle's Studio and kept the overall size of my layout at 8.5 x 11.

Have a great day!  Thanks for stopping by :)

Gossamer Blue - Week 11

Hello everyone!

I'm sharing some tip and tricks over on the Gossamer Blue blog on how to hide your journaling in your Life Pages spreads...

I used a mixture of Gossamer Blue's April kits for this week's spread.  I love mixing and matching different embellishments, journaling cards, and patterned paper from the kits because they always work so well with each other which helps my spreads come together quickly.

I created a bunch of flap pockets and hidden places to hide some of my journaling this week.  You can see more photos and details on how I did that here.

I can't believe we were still getting snow mid-March!  Crazy I tell you!!!

Wanderer

Hello everyone!

I shared this layout on the Scrapbook Circle blog for the One Item Wonder Challenge using the Studio Calico Vellum Cards that are available in this month's kit, Bucket List...

I used the vellum cards to create a grid design on my 8.5x11 page.  I also used a few of the exclusive printables to fill in some of the gaps at the top left and bottom right corners of my page.

I used a tiny photo of my kiddos standing in front of our new camper and placed it directly onto the yellow vellum 3x4 card.

I added a few pops of gold and some ephemera bits from the Fancy Pants As You Wish Ephemera Pack along the edges of the vellum cards.

Be sure and grab April's amazing kit, Bucket List!  And stop by the blog for more giveaway info.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

I used the large house die from Top Dog Dies and the Bucket List Kit from Scrapbook Circle to create this 12x12 layout.

One of my favorite things about using the die was that it had coordinating pieces such as the fence and adorable house accents like the windows and the chimney that really helped me add an extra dimension to my page. The Scrapbook Circle kit was filled with so many amazing patterned papers and adorable embellishments that made this page come together in a snap!

Head on over to Audrey Yeager's blog to continue along the hop.  And in case you get lost along the way here's the complete hop lineup...

April Sketch Challenge at Come On Get Crafty

Happy Saturday, friends!

It's time for another Come On Get Crafty Sketch Challenge...

Here's my take on the sketch...

I used some photos from my trip to the St. Louis Botanical Gardens from last spring since nothing has bloomed around here yet due to the long, drawn out winter we've had.

I used lots of spring-inspired embellishments from the Come On Get Crafty shop for my layout, including these adorable fabric frames from Maggie Holmes.

You can play along with the sketch challenge this month and get a chance to win a $5 gift card to the COGC shop.  Just link up your layout using the April sketch here by April 26th, 2014 and be sure and check out how the other creative team members used the sketch.

Good luck and I hope you play along with the sketch this month!  Have a great weekend :)

Gossamer Blue April Kits - Week 10

Hello everyone!

I'm here today to share my Life Pages spread for Week 10.  I used the April Life Pages Kit from Gossamer Blue which is packed full of amazing goodies and colorful journaling and filler cards.

Week 10 was an eventful one.  My baby girl turned 5 at the beginning of the week and we moved my hubby to Maryland for his job on Saturday.  I literally drove over 1,700 miles in three days with three kids so it was quite the adventure!  But a good one :)

I created a hidden pocket using a 3x4 journaling card from the kit to place a few cake photos and some sentiments from my daughter's birthday celebration inside...

Left Side:

The best part about my week was getting to reconnect with a friend after 10 years!  It was so awesome to see her and her beautiful family after all of these years...if it wasn't for my hubby's job relocation we might never have gotten together again so that just makes me believe even more that everything happens for a reason.

Right Side:

Be sure and check out April's kits from Gossamer Blue.  They're beyond amazing, as always :)

I hope you have a great day!
