Amazing Color

Happy Friday, everyone!

I didn't have a chance to post this layout that went up on the Chic Tags blog yesterday because I was feeling under the weather.  Luckily, I think I'm over the worst of it, but I'm still going to try and take it easy today :)

I was really inspired by the bright, bold colors in my photo and used several shades of red and orange spray ink to color my title that I cut using my Cameo.

I also broke out my vintage typewriter (that I've been neglecting lately!) for my journaling on the Everyday Life II Week Note Card.

I lined up and stitched through several A/B Tags on my page to sort of make them all "one" element on my layout.

Supplies:  Everyday Life II (A/B Tags, Week Note Cards, Snip' Em Tags), Autumn Days (Labels)

You can view my full post here...thanks for stopping by and have a great holiday weekend!

Celebrate (Happy Day)

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

I'm sharing this layout on the Lily Bee blog today and it includes quite a few free cut file downloads so be sure and check out the full post here...

The theme for this week is "Living Large", in other words, using a large photo on a layout or a large element on a card.  I was excited to use this photo of my family that was taken at my father's 60th birthday party back in June.  I don't have near enough photos of my parents, my brothers and sister, and me all together.

I used my Cameo to cut out the vellum butterflies and my "celebrate" and "happy day" title that I backed with matching patterned paper from the Sweet Shoppe collection.

I also cut out the tiny vellum hearts that are scattered about my page using my Cameo and then used my Tiny Attacher to staple them down.

Supplies: Pinwheel (Lemonade Stand paper, Cartwheels paper, Chipboard Stickers, Embellishment Bundle, Letter Stickers, Circle & Tag Stickers, Chit Chat Stickers, Label Stickers), Sweet Shoppe (Marshmellow paper, Label Stickers, Embellishment Bundle)

Be sure and check out Nicole's take on this week's theme of "Living Large" and score some free cut file downloads here.

Have a wonderful day!  TFL!

Week 33

Hello friends and happy Monday!  I have my Project Life spread for Week 33 to share with you today...

I know I skipped Weeks 31 & 32, but I can't share those spreads quite yet ;)

We enjoyed fabulous weather during Week 33...it kind of spoiled me and I ended up breaking out my jeans and a few hoodies throughout the week.

My boys started school on Thursday and we got a taste of our new routine.  I thought I was ready, but it turns out not as much as I thought :)

I took Avery with me thrift shopping on Friday...she's a natural at "poppin' those tags", lol!

I took the kids to see "Planes" on Monday.  It was sort of our last hurrah for the summer.  And all of a sudden I'm hooked on avocados and spicy chicken tortillas...so yummy!

We went to the Centralia Balloon Fest on Saturday and I finally got a photo I could blow up and cover a few pockets with!  I've been wanting to do that all year!

And here's a look at my full spread for Week 33...

How was your Week 33?  I hope it was a good one ;)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Let's Go On An Adventure

Hello friends!

I'm sharing the last layout I created using the August kit, "Let's Go On An Adventure", from Scrapbook Circle with you today...

We didn't go on vacation this year, but we did manage to squeeze in a trip to St. Louis (our closest big city) for a day of family fun a few weeks ago.

I captured this photo of the Arch when we were stopped in traffic going over the Mississippi River and I used one of the Crate Paper Pier Frames from this month's Add-on kit to frame the picture.

I have a post about how I created this page and a little about my design process that you can check out here.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

10 Minute Craft Dash with Pretty Pink Posh

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

Today I'm participating in the 10 Minute Craft Dash with Pretty Pink Posh sponsored by Gossamer Blue!

I chose to create two filler cards for my Project Life album...

Time it took to create:  9 minutes 12 seconds

I used Gossamer Blue's August Bits and Pieces Kit and a few embellishments from the Main Kit to create these two cards...

I used spray ink to color the wood veneer airplanes which I thought were perfect for my travel-themed 4x6 filler card.  I also created a 3x4 filler card using a circle sticker layered on top of a piece of vellum I had handy.

Wanna play along and get a chance to win Gossamer Blue's August Bits and Pieces Kit???  Head on over to http://prettypinkposh.com/category/craft-dash for more details!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Me

Happy Friday, everyone!

This layout went up over on the Scrapbook Circle blog yesterday for the "Getting To Know You" Designer Take Challenge...

I decided to focus on random facts that most people don't know about me.

I used the August Kit, "Let's Go On An Adventure" for this layout and chose to keep the design fairly simple...which says a lot about me as well :)

I even pulled out the remote timer on my camera and got this shot of myself for the occasion, lol!

If you'd like to play along with our challenge and get a chance to win a Crate Paper "The Pier" prize ackage, check out all of the details here.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Jump

Hello everyone!

I'm here today sharing a layout I created for my first post on the Scrapbook Circle blog...

I used lots of the printables that coordinated with this month's kit, "Let's Go On An Adventure", on this layout.  I layered them behind my photos and along the vertical strip that led to my title "JUMP".

I sewed through a few of the banners to give them some texture.  You could also stamp, mist, or cut up the strips to alter them to fit your layout needs.

August's Kit was a blast to work with and perfect for all of my fun, summer-themed photos!  You can view the full post here.  And don't forget to join the SC Mailing List!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

J & A

Happy Wednesday, friends!  This is our last official day off for the summer so I plan on enjoying it to the fullest!

I'm sharing this layout over on the Chic Tags blog today...

I used the latest Freebie Friday cut file for my vellum journaling pockets...

I love how the vellum helps soften the look and allows for extra layers to peek out.

Isn't that the tiniest fish you've ever seen!  It looks like it belongs in a fish bowl rather than a pond, lol!

Chic Tags Used:  Birthday Cake (Mini Tags, Snip'Em Tags), Road Trip (Squares, Note Circles, Snip'Em Tags), Autumn Days (Tabbed ATCs, ATCs)

You can view the full post here.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
