I have a mini album that I created using the November 2016 Embellishment Kit, "Hello Autumn", from Freckled Fawn to share with you today!
I haven't made a mini in ages and I really wanted to document one of my family's most favorite season's so this kit was PERFECT for doing just that!
I used many of the embellishments from the November kit, as well as some older FF products and a few items from my stash for this album.
I sized my mini at 3x4 and used the lovely November 2016 journaling cards as my base. I printed my photos off at 2x3 so they fit nicely on top of the journaling cards, leaving just enough space for a few embellishments.
I used a hole punch and a couple of gold book rings to bind it all together.
And as a bonus, I have a process video showing how my "Fall Fave" mini came together so I hope you enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by today and be sure and subscribe to my YouTube channel for lots of crafty inspiration!
What I love most about the December Kit is that it's not just for holiday scrapping! I chose two photos of my daughter when she was a few years younger (taken during the summer) and layered two of the December journaling cards underneath them.
Next, I added lots of the gorgeous foil transparency flowers around it and a few of the felt flowers as well.
I used the cork alphas for my title and placed a couple of the chipboard stickers next to it. I love how beautiful the colors of the embellishments look with my photos and the patterned paper I chose to use from Crate Paper.
These kits are currently sold out, but you can grab the embellishments individually here. I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Thanks so much for joining me today!
I hope you had a wonderful week and got to squeeze in some holiday crafting! I'm in full crafty mode right now since the holidays are getting so close to being here. There's always so much to do, but I love every bit of it! I especially love challenging myself a bit to keep things fresh, so today I have a layout to share with you that I created using a diagonal design.
Using the lovely November 2016 Hip Kits, I started by choosing the fun bright pink and white striped patterned paper that's an HKC Exclusive and is available in the December Documented 2016 Kitfor my background. I love the diagonal lines and how easy it is to follow along with their design.
Next, I used the Echo Park Candy Stripe stencil and the Shimmerz Foiled Again Dazzlerz Texture Paste from the November 2016 Color Kit to give my background a little extra dimension. After the paste dried, I layered two photos of my daughter, Avery, posing in her new winter hat on top and fussy-cut a few houses out of the Snow and Cocoa patterned paper (available in the November 2016 Paper Kit) to use as extra embellishments on my page.
I layered a few strips of patterned paper from the Snow and Cocoa Collection by Crate Paper (available in the November 2016 Main Kit) behind my photos and used some of the HKC Exclusive 'Tis The Season ephemera pieces to embellish around my photos. I kept my embellishments, title, and design in line with the diagonal stripes on the paper to create my angle.
I used a black marker to color the wood veneer pieces from Crate Paper and used the "Well Blue Me Down" Coloringz Mist from Shimmerz to paint the white snowflakes from the 'Tis The Season ephemera to coordinate with my color scheme.
As an added bonus, I also have some completed December Documented pages to share with you today!
I shared my foundation pages in a previous post so I am really excited to be filling them up with photos and journaling from our December adventures! I used items from the December Documented 2016 Kit, as well as products from the November 2016 Hip Kits for my album.
Day 1 and 2 - We took a road trip to Kansas City last weekend so I had some great photos and treasures from our trip to include!
Day 3 and 4 - We spent our KC trip ice skating, holiday shopping, and swimming at Great Wolf Lodge. I included several photos on this spread, printing them off of my home computer at 3x3, 2x3, and 2x2 so they fit nicely inside the pockets and still left room to journal and embellish around.
Day 5 and 6 - I spent the next couple of days at home tidying up from our trip and getting back into the routine for the week. The kids made final decisions about their Christmas lists and I enjoyed some peace and quiet around the house.
Day 7 and 8 - I included some elf documentation and embellished one of the journaling cards using some of the HKC Exclusive items from the November kits.
I hope I've given you lots of inspiration for your holiday scrapping plans! Thanks so much for joining me and be sure and check out my process video below showcasing my layout "Wishing For Cold and Snow"!
I hope you have a great day...thanks for stopping by!
I'm here today with a layout that I created using some Vibez and Texturez paste in some lovely soft hues that I shared on the Shimmerz blog yesterday...
For my background design, I started by lightly spritzing some Glorious Day Vibez spray ink onto my background patterned paper. It's sort of hard to see in the photos, but the Glorious Day ink gives my background a soft and shimmery gold look.
Next, I used a large 12x12 stencil from my stash and placed it on top of my patterned paper after the spray ink dried. I used some washi tape to keep the stencil in place while I added some Patina Texturez paste to a few large areas with a small spatula.
I love how the color turned out and how the Texturez paste gives my page so much dimension!
After the Texturez Paste dried, I layered lots of different patterned papers from the Open Book collection from Maggie Holmes under the photo of my daughter. I also used several die cut leaves and some rub-ons from the collection to accent my design.
I splattered a few ink drops using some Coloringz Night Moves spray ink for a little contrast and to coordinate with the other black elements on my page.
I hope I've inspired you to break out some paint for your next crafty project! Don't hesitate to get a little messy and try a few different Shimmerz products on your page for a really lovely result. Thanks for joining me today and I hope you have a great weekend!
I used items from the November 2016 Hip Kits, as well as the December Documented 2016 Kit, to embellish these mason jars that are filled with all of the ingredients that you need to make a batch of yummy cookies!
I used a few simple items from my stash, such as a couple of circle punches, my paper trimmer, and some embellishments from the November kits to create the embellishments for these jars. I also used a cut file that you can download for free on the Hip Kit Club blog to create the tags that I tied around the lid of the jars.
I also have a process video below showing you just how quick and easy these jars are to make!
These jars would make excellent gifts for teacher, bus drivers, mailmen, etc.
Thanks so much for dropping by today! Have a good one!
Hello everyone! I'm so excited because it's December which is one of my most favorite month's of the year! It's one of my favorites because nothing gets me into the holiday spirit more than scrapping some holiday-themed layouts! Today I have two layouts to share with you that I created using the fun and festive Oh Joy collection...
I used one of the lovely neutral patterned papers from the Oh Joy collection for my background and added some aqua spray ink to it using a plastic piece of packaging so it gives it a more "watercolored" look. Next, I placed two of the 3x4 gold foil journaling cards on each side of the photo of our elves and layered the holly patterned paper behind my photo.
I added a few embellishments from the collection, such as the gold mirrored stars to compliment the gold foil journaling cards, and some of the sentiment stickers to complete my page. I added my title using the lovely aqua and gold chipboard letter stickers and one of the puffy sticker sentiments.
For this next layout, I cut up three of the Oh Joy collection patterned papers into large triangles and layered them on a piece of cardstock to create my background.
Since I used the large gift tower piece I layered my photo right next to it and embellished around it using some of the gold foil stickers from the collection and several of the phrase stickers. I also placed a few of the acetate pieces to the right and left side of my photo and stamped a few images of the present around for added emphasis.
I used the aqua and gold chipboard letter stickers to create my title and added a few black ink splatters for a more whimsical look.
I hope I've given you some holiday-inspired ideas to use on your next layout or project! I love how well the Oh Joy collection coordinates with any holiday theme and color combo!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
