October Color Challenge at Freckled Fawn

The October Color Challenge is up at the Freckled Fawn blog!

And here's my take...

I used lots of different goodies on this one...a little October Afternoon Midway, a little Dear Lizzy 5th & Frolic, a little SC, and LOTS of Freckled Fawn!

We took the kids to pick out pumpkins at our local patch a few weeks ago and I ended up with so many great photos that I didn't know which ones to choose.  I made a photo strip so I could include several photos, but still have enough room for lots o' layers, ha!

My favorite thing about this layout is the photo strip and the pumpkin and tag filled stitched vellum pouch from Studio Calico.  And the washi, of course!

I'm getting more and more used to journaling directly onto my pages, which is new for me...I like trying new things :)

Link up your take on this beautiful, fall-inspired color challenge in the comment section here by November 5th for your chance to win a $5 Freckled Fawn Gift Card!  Good luck and I can't wait to see what everyone creates!

Have a great day!  TFL!!!

Washi Pumpkins

Happy Sunday, friends!  I'm sitting here with my little ones watching Spookley the Square Pumpkin on the Disney Channel and it reminded me that I have some super cute photos to share with you today!

I decorated this pumpkin using...you guessed it...washi tape!  Be sure to check out the Freckled Fawn blog for even MORE washi pumpkin inspiration :)

I also added a few bits from the Autumn ohDEERme Kit, which I believe is still available, and a doily.

My youngest son got in on the action, too!  He even had the idea for the tag!

This was a super easy and fun way to decorate a no-carve pumpkin...I hope you give it a try!  TFL!!!

Fall Is My Fave

Ahhh, one more day to go until the weekend!  Yay!

Here's my take on this week's Sunday Sketch at SC...

I love fall and I love this pic I captured using my iPhone while I was riding my bike last week.  I used a template I received through the 1000 Words: Capture More class I'm taking right now to frame the photo.  I used a Silhouette cut file from the Silhouette Online Store for the word "Fall".

I used some more of my Roller Rink Kit +Add-ons for this layout.  I also used some pieces from Freckled Fawn's ohDeerme Autumn Kit, which I love :)

I stuck with the main elements of the sketch, but put my own spin on it...which is why I love sketches so much!

Have a great day!
And a special "Happy Birthday" shout out to my mom...love you!
TFL!

Hardworkin' Dude

Happy Wednesday!

Here's my take on the Weekly Challenge over at Studio Calico...

The challenge was to scrap something from your everyday routine.  Homework is definitely something we get our daily dose of and I had these great photos of my youngest son (who's in Kindergarten) as he was concentrating on his studies :)

I used my October SC Kit +Add-ons for this layout.

I absolutely LOVE the paper from Amy Tangerine's newest line...it's so fun and versatile and can be used for either boy or girl-themed pages!

Have a good one!  TFL :)

Life Is Better When We Are Together

Happy Sunday, friends!  I normally don't post on the weekends, but I haven't had a chance to get anything up since Wednesday, gasp!  I did (finally) get a chance to work on the Sunday Sketch from 10.14.12. so here it is...

I was very inspired by Jamie Pate's take on the sketch, which you can see here. It's breathtaking so be sure to check it out :)  I was also inspired by the new I Lowe Scrap papers that are now available at Freckled Fawn.  I knew as soon as I saw those triangles that I wanted them to be a huge element on my page.

I was lucky enough to win that awesome "InstaMoment" stamp from www.lifelovepaper.com through the 1000 Words: Capture More photography class I'm currently taking.  I honestly don't think I've ever won anything in my life, so I can cross that one off my list, lol!

I also used some embellishments from this month's SC kit, Roller Rink and that adorable pink tag with the date stamp on it is from the new Dear Lizzy collection, 5th & Frolic.

I love this photo of my three kiddos laughing and joking together.  That expression of my daughter is priceless to me!  They are so funny together sometimes...I really do cherish those moments and I'm just glad I got to capture one of them on film.

Have a great day and TFL!
