December Memories 2013 with GB

Hello everyone!  I hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

Now that it's over it's time to start thinking about the next holiday that's right around the corner...Christmas!!!  And that means it's December Daily time again, which truly is an amazing way to document the entire month of December instead of just one day.  This will be my third year creating a DD and I did it a little differently this time.

I used Gossamer Blue's December Memories kit and was a class contributor so I had to create my base pages ahead of time.  I'm a "work around the photos" type of scrapper so that was something very new and different for me to do :)  I created my base pages back in October and now that November is almost over I'm so thankful that much of it is already complete!

Base Pages:

Since I've been doing a Project Life album this year, I've decided to keep going about it the same way for December (just the normal everyday stuff and photos for those spreads).  My December Memories album will consist of more holiday-inspired events and photos.  I don't plan on making it chronological...just documenting our month however it works out as we go along.

As you can see, I slipped photo placeholders into some of the dividers to help me keep a visual image of each page.

I added in several kraft baggies to hold ephemera and other holiday treasures I might collect throughout the month.  I also plan on doing some extra embellishing after I place my photos in their sleeves each day.

I left an empty 6x8 sleeve in the back of my album for the holiday cards that I will receive.  They usually don't take up much space and are easier to keep track of when they are in my December Memories album.

I will be sharing my December Memories pages on my blog on Saturday or Sunday each week throughout the month so I hope you'll stop in to see how it all comes together!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Be...

Happy Monday, friends!

This is the last layout I created using the November Kit from Scrapbook Circle...

I added lots of layers around the photo of my daughter just being herself and enjoying the wonderful fall weather.  She always has a smile on her face when she's outside and loves playing outdoors.

The new digital cut files are my favorite...the geotags and arrows are a great addition to any layout.

Be sure and snag this month's kit that is on sale now at SBC!  Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Thankful For You

Happy Saturday, everyone!

I'm sharing this card I created using the November kit, "Home Sweet Home", on the SBC blog today...

I was really inspired by the gorgeous feather cut-outs from BasicGrey and the colors of patterned paper in this month's kit...perfect for this time of year.  I used the exclusive SBC stamp from the main kit and layered some letter stickers on top of it using my sewing machine.

Be sure and check my full post here and have a great day!  TFL!

Here's a layout I created for the Sketch It Out Challenge that's up on the Chic Tags blog today...

I used the new Schoolhouse Collection which was perfect for the photos of my kids on their first day of school.

This year I have a sixth grader, a first grader, and a pre-schooler...where does the time go?!?!

Jam Session

Happy Friday, friends!

I'm sharing this layout over on the Come On Get Crafty blog today...

My daughter's favorite new thing is to rock out using my iPhone and headphones in the craft room while I'm working on projects.  She's just too cute sometimes :)

I made the sequin pocket by stitching around the gold transparency after I filled it with sequins.

Head on over to the blog to find out what my "favorite things" were that I used to create this layout.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

A Couple of SBC Layouts

Happy Wednesday!

I have two Scrapbook Circle layouts to share with you today that I created using the November Kit, "Home Sweet Home"...

Thankful For You

I created this layout based on all those amazing exclusive flair buttons that are included in this month's kit.

The new geotag digital cut files that are available here were the perfect size for the flair!

Happy Together

I created this layout using lots of the adorable bits and pieces from the Crate Paper Close Knit Ephemera pack that's available in this month's Add-on Kit, "My Happy Place".

I layered lots of the ephemera bits around the photo of my family and added a couple of arrows that I cut out using my Cameo to help guide the eye to my photo.

Be sure and stop by the SBC blog to check out my full posts!  Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
